Inspired by nature, driven by sport, made with our hands.
Hi, I’m Nathan.
I began making things from wood and whatever else I could get my hands on when I was in elementary school. I set up my own workshop in the basement of our family home and was always looking to acquire new tools and skills from where ever I could.
I’ve studied engineering, yacht design, and wood and composite boat building, and have worked in education, and manufacturing from carbon boat parts to hardwood furniture. All these experiences and skills have shaped who I am as a maker and designer. Not afraid to mix the traditional with the modern, or take inspiration from where ever it may come.
In 2019 after traveling from our home in Rhode Island to the Vermont 6-8 times a year for bike racing, training, and ski trips; my wife, Dana, and I decided to make the move to the Green Mountain State. After a few years of working in hardwood furniture manufacturing (a first for me) I decided it was time to use all the new skills and knowledge I had gained since leaving home to set up my own workshop once again. With a bit of help from my four legged sidekick and part time dust collector, Malcolm, our two car garage quickly became my 1000 square foot creative sanctuary.
It is in this new space that I have been able to re-engage with my own design processes and create works inspired by what drives me. After tinkering with small furniture and other home accents I was determined to find ways to bring elements of what I enjoy doing into the spaces I live in.
